He may not have won season eight of Idol, but glam superstar Adam Lambert sophomore album had enough steam behind it to claim the top spot on the Canadian album chart this week.
Lambert second studio album sold 7,300 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. But it was a much lower debut than the one fellow alum Carrie Underwood scored two weeks ago when her latest Away was released.
After being knocked out of the top spot last week by Adele, Underwood held steady at No. 2 with her fourth studio album selling 6,400 copies. Adele unstoppable added another 6,
300 units to its jaw dropping 1.25 million in sales.
Sultry Norah Jones came in fourth with her latest, Broken Hearts, with Brit heartthrobs One Direction close behind at No. 5.
This week other two new debuts were total flops.
The Album from TV landed with a thud at No. 6, while comedy rockers Tenacious D probably weren smiling with the paltry reception that greeted their latest of the Fenix at No. 7.
Familiar names rounded out the top 10, with Jason Mraz beach tinged is a Four Letter Word in eighth, Johnny Reid It Up at No. 9,
and Jack White clocking in at No. 10.
